Julian Guderley is fabolous when breathing.

Listening to him gives me a refreshing lens on what it means to live, love, and lead in today’s world. As a father, he finds profound meaning in the simple joys of watching his child discover the world - something that deeply resonates with me.

It’s a good reminder for us all - to respect the wonder in everyday life.

Julian practices mindfulness and breath-work, which help him stay grounded and attentive to the present moment. I’ve done some IRL work with him and I can confirm that he’s able to quiet distractions and truly savor what’s happening around him - and he is a great teacher to boot!

Holotropic Breathing.

It’s an active, conscious breathing technique that can catalyze energy, help access different centers of intelligence in the body, and even aid in releasing trauma.

In our next episode of Pulp Conversations, Julian will give a short Masterclass in this type of breath-work; showing us how it involves accelerated, mouth-based breathing to intentionally shift our state of consciousness.

According to Julian, this method “shortcuts you out of your thinking mind,” allowing you to move beyond binary or rigid ways of thinking and access deeper layers of awareness—such as the intelligence of the gut or the heart.
