The Power of Men's Groups

Pulp Conversations S1E1: Omar Samra

Are you part of a “men’s group”? If not, listen to 👇🏽 Omar 👆🏽

Last year my friend Ram introduced me to Sharad who 11 years ago created Brown Papas Unite - BPU . Since then he has grown his digital-first men’s group to ~1,200 Indian men across the USA. I joined last Fall and was instantly welcomed to the community, which connects on a variety of topics from college admissions, aging parents, food & recipes, stocks & investments, and baller travel itineraries around the world. I don’t know for sure but I think the age range of members is between 30 - 70 years old. It’s an amazing luxury to tap into so much wisdom in an instant.

Within the past months because of this group / outlet / support system I’ve been able to shit-post to my heart’s content, invest in a land banking deal (wtf is that right?), compare notes on startups, learn about new dining spots in NYC, save $700 on my home insurance, get a recco for the best pizza dough and much more ….

Most importantly - it feels great to be part of a community that is interested in propelling not competing with one another.

Regardless of whether you identify as: ♂ ♀ ⚧ ⚨ ⚪ it’s important for all of us to be part of a community that allows us to interact without fear of judgement or shame.

If this resonates with you give it a try.
